Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

It was in my travel trailer that I use everyday as my craft room. This photo is a screenshot from a video. The tin that is was crawling on is a round wafer style cookie stick container. Maybe about 8” tall and 4” wide. I’d guess the spider is about 1” body with about 4-5 span. It wasn’t as fast as some of the similar spiders I found on YouTube but definitely faster than I expected when I discovered it in my space. It seemed to flail its front legs. It looked like it was possibly feeling its way and trying to hide.
I didn’t see anywhere to upload multiple photos or videos. I have a few more but none are really great clear images.

Hard to see the eyes for certainty, but I am going with a golden huntsman spider.
Very harmless and cool to have around. I used to play with them as a kid, now I just let them go about their business.
